UZURV Services in Atlanta, Ga

Marta

The Metropolitan Atlanta Area Transit Authority (MARTA) provides MARTA Mobility, an origin-to-destination paratransit service designed for residents and visitors who are unable, because of a disability, to utilize MARTA bus and rail services operating throughout the Metropolitan Atlanta region. MARTA has contracted with a privately operated transportation provider, First Transit, to provide most of MARTA Mobility trips with a fleet of agency-owned vehicles with drivers and support personnel employed by First Transit. First Transit has partnered with UZURV to provide MARTA Mobility trips during times when other MARTA Mobility vehicles are unavailable, when service demand is high, and/or for passengers and/or at times and in locations best served by UZURV’s Adaptive TNC service model.

To learn more about MARTA Mobility, including eligibility, areas served, hours of operation, passenger fares, and other service policies, visit the MARTA Mobility website, or contact MARTA Mobility on non-holiday weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. by phone at (404) 848-5826 or via TTY using the Georgia Relay Service at 711.

Who Can Use UZURV?

The MARTA Mobility provider determines which trips to assign to UZURV based on the availability of the MARTA Mobility fleet, the time and location of the trip, and other scheduling factors. In general, customers who are able to safely board and ride in a sedan or Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), and those who use manual wheelchairs and walkers that can be stored in the trunk or cargo area of a sedan or SUV, will find UZURV service to be accessible and comfortable. UZURV drivers are able to assist with the storage of mobility devices upon request.

UZURV provides door-to-door service with a team of qualified and credentialed drivers who operate their own personal vehicles — much like other Transportation Network Companies (TNCs). Before providing trips, UZURV drivers pass a nationwide background check, a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) compliant substance abuse test, and must demonstrate knowledge of appropriate techniques for transporting people with disabilities and older adults.

When and Where Does UZURV Operate MARTA Mobility Service?

MARTA Mobility provides service in those areas that are within ¾ of a mile of any MARTA bus route and around any MARTA Rail station at times and on days when transit service is available in the locations where the MARTA Mobility customer wishes to travel. MARTA Mobility may only be used when the trip being requested could also be made on MARTA bus and rail services. For a more detailed discussion of when and where MARTA Mobility services are available, visit the MARTA Mobility website. To check on whether a specific trip falls within the MARTA Mobility service area and during its hours of operation, call MARTA Mobility at (404) 848-5826 or via TTY using the Georgia Relay Service at 711. Calls are answered daily between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

UZURV provides trips assigned to it by the MARTA Mobility provider, First Transit. These trips can be at any time and in any area where MARTA Mobility operates. Marta Mobility operating hours are:
